The Wedding Season is now upon us, and this year seems to be busier than ever with many of our customers tying the knot! Heres some helpful information to assist you with choosing the right flowers for you and your special day.

It is advisable to meet with your florist at least 9-12 months prior to the wedding date, preferably 12 months before as your florist will have a range of flowers in stock that will be in season around your wedding date. This can have an affect on your choice of flowers. More often than not flowers that arent in season can still be obtainable however this comes at a price sometimes in monetary value and the quality of the flower.

If you have a colour scheme & theme for your wedding this will impact on your choice of blooms and the styling of the designs. If you are aiming for a Contemporary look then simple arrangements of Single Flowers such as Calla Lilies and Geberas with Exotic Foliage work well or for a country style then Blousy Blooms such as Peonies and Large Roses in Bird Cages or Teapots add to the traditional feel. Look at portfolios of previous wedding flowers and venues this can help you decide what you like and dislike or choose the style to suit you and your venue.
