Easter Sunday Wedding of Mr & Mrs Gosling @ Turkey Mill, Maidstone

Easter 2016 seems like quite some time ago now – but I need to share this beautiful wedding with you.

Heather & Craig got married on a sunny Spring Sunday at the popular venue of Turkey Mill in Maidstone.

Heather opted for subtle tones of peach & pink in the way of Roses & Blue Thistles with soft White Gypsophilia.  Heather’s bouquet was finished with a lovely photo of her Dad who was truly missed on such a momentous day, but not far from his daughters thoughts and heart.

Heather’s bridesmaids wore shades of blue, peach & pink also so I made contrasting wrist corsages.

The photos were provided by an old friend of mine David Pearce – he also recommended Girl Flower to Heather for the flowers, so thank you David.  Hair & Make Up by the lovely Kim Henderson.

Here’s a few kind words from Heather.

“Thank you so much for the flowers for the wedding. I was really happy with my bouquet. It was exactly as I had imagined! The corsages were lovely. Thank you so much, Heather”

Mr & Mrs Hope – Summer Wedding in Kent 08/08/15

What a stunning day this turned out to be, beautiful sunny hot day in August set the scene for Charlotte & Paul’s wedding.  The good weather enabled Charlotte & Paul to take their vows outside at Boughton Monchelsea Place where their guests got to enjoy the views in the sunshine & witness the joining of their loved ones in marriage.

The wedding breakfast was hosted at Charlotte & Paul’s farm home, in a marquee decorated with Chinese lanterns & simple table centre pieces of complimenting flowers of cymbidium orchids & roses.

The colour scheme for the day was various tones of the colour of the Bridesmaids dresses called “Valentine”. A mixture of these tones were reflected in the flowers; we used pink cymbidium orchids, “Purple Power” roses (there couldn’t have been a better match to the swatch, my expectations were exceeded), ivory waxflower & ivory double freesia.  I was so pleased with the outcome of the designs on the day. I was also amazed by longevity of the flowers, it  was one of the hottest days of the year so far, on my return to the venue the following day to collect the hired items the bouquets had been left on a table and had been out of water for 24 hours – they were as fresh as they did when I had delivered them the day before!!!

Sarah & Scott Saturday 13th June 2015 @ The Hop Farm

Now I have time to reflect over the last summer season I am able to share more of the beautiful weddings I have been so lucky to be a part of & of course the lovely couples I have had the pleasure of meeting.

I met Sarah & Scott at a wedding fair at the Hop Farm and met with them shorty after over a glass of coke. Sarah & Scott are a fun young couple and their wedding day reflected this aspect of their personality.

The theme was a beautiful shade of blue, so hydrangeas in a similar hue were used as a main focal point along with fluffy white gypsophilia, ivory roses & white hydrangea.

Sarah’s stunning maids wore blue & carried massed white gypsophilia hand tied bouquets finished with natural hessian & the star of the show wore a pretty white lace dress with blue & white hydrangea bouquet with ivory roses nestled in between.

Scott & his hansom grooms men wore smart 3 piece blue suits with yellow ties & boutonnières of white gypsophilia finished with hessian.

Whilst setting up the centre pieces Scott & his friends helped me (I think they quite enjoyed it) and their assistance was welcomed. The centre pieces were set on tree slices & consisted of various vessels to house the mixed blooms again of blue & white hydrangea, ivory roses & white gypsophilia. The blue hydrangea was arranged in hand crafted hessian bags for the guests to take home with them, the rest of the flowers were in jars and miniature bottles dressed with hessian & lace. The extra arrangements were dotted around the venue & on the cake table.

The fantastic photos supplied are from Sarah & Scott’s friend Chris Longhurst.

I received a lovely thank you card from Sarah & Scott with images taken on the day.  The card read….

“Clare

We wanted to thank you again for your amazing work with the flowers & table decoration for our wedding.  You captured our vision perfectly & everyone commented on how beautiful everything looked.  We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you & your wonderful work.

Love & best wishes, Sarah & Scott xx”

Natalie & Alex’s Wedding Friday 8th May 2015 @ The Old Kent Barn

Another last minute booking for me and what a wedding it was!  Natalie was a relaxed bride which reflected in the overall feel of the wedding day.   After meeting at the Hop Farm wedding fair & seeing my mossed “LOVE” design a consultation was arranged.

Natalie opted for a stunning shade of green for her maids which complimented the moss designs throughout.  Natalie chose an alternative centre piece for the wedding breakfast in the way of mossed table numbers concealed under glass domes and set on terracotta plates, sat on slices of oak.  A tricky design to undertake, a lot trickier than it looks but well worth the effort for the effective result.

For the extra wow factor for the wedding breakfast I supplied 3ft bubble balloons, some clear with multi-coloured confetti inside, along with various colours to match the eclectic flower choice.

Natalie’s bouquet was a rustic hand tied of craspedia, hypericum, delphiniums, astilbe, veronica, freesia & scabiosa set amongst fountain grass and eucalyptus, her maids had smaller versions.

The beautiful flower girl wore a flower crown and took care of the wedding rings in a moss nest finished with “To have & to hold” ribbon.

The groom and his band of men wore boutonnières of the same flowers in various versions, finished with hessian.

Both sides of the isle there were flower filled wellies which lead the way to the sunny gazebo with large silver urns full of matching blooms and the registrar’s table was home to the mossed “LOVE” design that initially caught Natalie’s eye.

After the vows took place, Natalie swapped her veil for a flower crown.

I am sure you will agree this was truly a beautiful wedding.  I am so pleased with the final look.

Sorry for the image overload, there was far too many amazing pictures to choose from.
